Nursery Guidelines
The nursery is staffed by volunteers, mainly the parents of our young children and our youth (5th grade and older). The following guidelines for volunteers and parents have been developed by our Nursery Coordinator in order to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our children while our adults attend worship. These guidelines are reviewed at the beginning of every year by the Children’s Ministry.

A Nursery Road Map
Imagine this is the first time you have worshipped at your congregation. Your 2-year old has decided that the service is far too long, and made it clear you needed to locate the nursery. Your anxiety mounts as you wander around the narthex, trying to contain your child and locate the undersized sign hidden in the corner which directs people to the nursery.

Worship Walk Script
The "Worship Walk" was developed at Gloria Dei as a way to celebrate the completion of our new worship facility and to educate people of all ages about worship. Tour guides were trained to take small groups of church school children, their parents, and other members through the walk. It was very well received and the children asked lots of good questions and showed a great interest in the physical and spiritual aspects of the worship space.

Flags in the Worship Space: A Theological Perspective
The presence of our nation's flag in the worship space stirs deep passions for many people. Our nation's flag reminds us of the freedom that we enjoy and the price that many have paid to protect that freedom.

Campus Center Ministry - Christus Rex, University of North Dakota
CHRISTUS REX LUTHERAN CAMPUS CENTER at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks centers its life together around a ministry of Word and Sacrament. The community gathers for worship each Sunday morning and evening when school is in session. Holy Communion always is celebrated at these Sunday services. We welcome all God's people to celebrate with us the Word proclaimed and Sacraments shared as we live out our baptism within the community of UND.
