Contribuciones Disciple Auditions Director: Thank you for coming, ladies and gentlemen. As you know, we are auditioning for disciples to follow Jesus Christ. When your number is called, please step forward to the microphone and answer the questions. Stagehand: Number One, please. (Person #1 steps to the microphone. She should obviously be a "glamour girl" type.) Director: State your name, please. Person #1: (Use real or fictitious names.) Director: Why do you want to be a disciple? Parable of the Shapes This could be used as a drama for the sermon for Youth Sunday. As worshipers entered the sanctuary, they were asked to select the shpae of their choice from a tray (circle, square, triangle, star, blob in a variety of colors). Children brought these forward for the children's sermon. At the end of the sermon, all were asked to trade in their specific shape for our In-Spite-Of bookmark to be taken home as a reminder of God's all-encompassing love. Commendation of a Child Here is a tool that can be used in a service of commendation of a child, miscarriage and stillbirth. Stories of Faith Dear Friends, Ever wish you had an owner’s manual for life? Well we can’t provide that, but as a gift to you, we’ve enclosed a copy of the new Owner’s Manual for Faith Lutheran Church. We hope that this will help you understand the scope of our ministries and maybe even encourage you to think of new ways in which those ministries can be extended. A Great Time for a Great Cause Faith Lutheran of Marshfield recently held a golf outing for fellowship and fund raising for Stand With Africa. Prizes were donated and funds were raised with various "optional" purchases by the golfers. As part of the education/fund raising dimenstion, there was a "quiz question" at each hole, with questions pertaining to our benevolence for the world's hungry or about biblical texts dealing with food. Prize for the winners of the quiz was a home-made apple pie!
