Contribuciones Companion Synod Greetings The representatives from the congregations and parishes, in the 8th Synod Assembly of the Sínodo Centro-Campanha Sul - IECLB, have gathered in the date of May 31st of 2003, in the Rosário do Sul Evangelical Congregation fellowship hall Martin Luther under the IECLB theme for this year (“our world has salvation” - “God will wipe every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 21,4) and its significance to the Synod and Church missionary action. Youth Exchange Program Youth exchange through mail (pen pals). Our exchange program, a part of the exchange program between the Northwest of Wisconsin Synod and the Sínodo Centro Campanha Sul - IECLB, have been going slow in the last year. Like the exchange between other parishes it has been difficult to find ways to make it work as wished. This matter has been discussed during the meeting at the ELCA headquarters in November of 2001 and it was pointed out that is needed to find ways to make it work. Between synods it has worked nicely but between parishes it has gone slow if has not stopped at all. Covenant For Cooperative Mission As member churches of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and the World Council of Churches (WCC) we affirm our common commitment to cooperative mission in the spirit of accompaniment both within the Lutheran communion and within the larger ecumenical arena. With gratitude for the abundant grace and gifts of God, we join together in this Covenant for Cooperative Mission and commit ourselves to a relationship of mutual respect as we seek together to hear, understand, and respond to God's call to mission. Companion Synod Relationships This document was translated into English by Synodical Pastor Martim Reusch, whose native languages are Portuguese and German and shared with the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin to further our companion synod relationship. Action Plan - Sindo Centro - Campanha Sul - IECLB The principle of "general calling of all believers" expresses the vital idea of participation of the communities and its members. Participation becomes the means of community that we look to experience in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our public ministries look to help the communities to achieve this mission. |
