Good Friday Drama
The Good Friday Drama will portray the Arrest, Trial, Crucifixion, and Burial of Jesus according to the Gospel of John. There are three readers: Narrator: The narrator tells the biblical story, sometimes quoting John, sometimes summarizing the unfolding events. Archaeologist: The archaeologist tells of the places, people, and events of the time and explains some of the specific details in the passion narrative. Physician: The physician gives a medical description of what Jesus experienced in his passion and death.

All Saints' Day celebration has a long history in the worship life of the Christian Church. It began as a commemoration of the martyrs who had died for the faith, and it has since become a day when we honor and remember those who, in death, have joined the Church Triumphant, as well as the faithful saints of the present who serve Jesus Christ. Martin Luther held that all Christians are simultaneously sinner and saint--a sinner because of our rebellious nature, but a saint because of salvation in Jesus.

Confirmation Art
Congregations expect their confirmands to demonstrate some familiarity with the key parts of Luther's Small Catechism and the Biblical story. Pastor Duane Pederson encourages his students to demonstrate that knowledge in a variety of ways. One student chose to create a wall mural in one of their rotational Sunday School rooms.
