Each of us has had a seed planted by someone along the way. It may have been your grandparent telling you stories of Jesus, your parents saying bedtime prayers at night, or a friend’s conversation. More than likely it was one or more of these and countless others along the way Lenten Devotions: Grow - Keep Us Growing, LORD!!! “O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1. What a wonderful place the Lord has graced us with. Go past our Father’s house on any evening, and you will see cars in parking lot and lights on in the building. The opportunities for members and friends of Ascension to grow in there faith seem endless. Lenten Devotions: Care - Bearing Burdens “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2. I was at the end of my rope. We had just spent the night before in the hospital having labor stopped for our unborn child and found that bedrest for the next two and a half months was the only way to bring our baby into this world safely. |
