Contributions Celebrate! - Invitation to Contemporary Worship This is an invite image that was used and can be used to invite members of the congregation to contemporary worship. Use this to create your own Church's invitations. Children - Welcome to Worship We hope that this booklet will help children (and their Moms and Dads) as we learn about worshipping God together. Who Needs God? Enclosed you will find a copy of the Youth Sunday Worship service held at Calvary, Concord. I am sending for the files a copy of the bulletin, the script (Who Needs God), and a list of needed resources. Youth Plead Their Case - Youth Sunday Drama This past week at L-RC there was a special spiritual awareness week. And among the guests and speakers that were present was a man who may be known to you through the Lutheran, Walter Wangerin Jr. And just this morning I was looking over the Lutheran, since I did not have to prepare as long a sermon as I generally do, and was looking at Walter's article there and I saw some things that were very pertinent related to the message today. Nursery Guidelines The nursery is staffed by volunteers, mainly the parents of our young children and our youth (5th grade and older). The following guidelines for volunteers and parents have been developed by our Nursery Coordinator in order to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our children while our adults attend worship. These guidelines are reviewed at the beginning of every year by the Children’s Ministry. Acolyte Handbook This handbook was designed to be a tool for parents and youth alike. Hopefully, it will answer any last minute questions your acolyte may have. Please use it to refresh your child's memory. Often little details are forgotten when an acolyte has not served in several weeks. Grace & Glory Bread Recipe Loaves freeze well for up to 3-4 weeks in Zip Lock bags. Yield is 11-12 loaves, 24 pieces/loaf max. 288 pieces. The Great Easter Vigil What was done: The first year this was done, members of Emmanuel, High Point and the associate pastor planned and led the Easter Vigil for Holy Saturday evening concluding with Holy Communion at the Easter Sunrise service. The second year, pastors and congregations from the High Point area were invited to join together and planned an ecumenical Vigil worship. Traditions represented were: Lutheran, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Reformed and Baptist; lay and ordained people were worship leaders, including youth and adults.
