Nail Table
This is not strictly an Ash Wednesday idea. On Good Friday we do a Service of Nails where each participant is invited to place a nail in a cross. It would be powerful for that nail to be one they have carried since Ash Wednesday. A reminder of our sin, driven into the cross.

Memorials Policy
A general memorial fund has been established for the handling of all memorial gifts not specifically identified to an end purpose. Suggestions for memorial expenditures from the general memorial fund may be brought through the senior pastor, to any regularly scheduled meeting of the Executive Committee.

Building And Equipment Use Policy
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church welcomes the use of its facilities by members, the larger church, and non-profit public service groups whose objectives are deemed by the program staff to be fitting with those of the congregation. No member or non-member business events are eligible. Non-member personal events (anniversaries, etc.) may be approved individually by the program staff.

Building and Property Usage
Church organizations have priority for use of the building. All meeting times, however, should be recorded in the church office to avoid conflicts with other church organizations or with those parties which have leased space from the church office.

Council Policy For Use Of Church Facility
The congregation of First Lutheran Church welcomes the use of its facilities by its members and others, such as nonprofit and charitable organizations and community groups, When making plans to use the facilities please make arrangements through the church office well in advance of the proposed date. Written proposal from the requesting organization may be required at the discretion of the Church Council at its Executive Committee.

Building Use Policy
The PDF file contains multiple examples of building usage policies. For members using the church for showers, birthdays, or anniversaries; nor will there be any charge for non-profit groups such as Boy Scouts or community groups. Members using the church should leave it as it is found. Custodian will do the vacuuming.
