Heal with a Meal
A meal is one of the most gracious gifts that can be given to a family in crisis; I know this from first-hand experience. When a family member is hospitalized or dies, mealtime is the first thing to be disrupted. There is either no time to cook or very little inclination to prepare a meal. When my wife Audrey was seriously ill, the meals prepared by members of The Church were vital. They took the pressure off thinking about cooking and allowed our family to focus where we needed to focus.

Are there members of your church in need of immediate support? Maybe a sudden illness has taken a family member into intensive care, other illness or emergency situation.

Home Visitation Hospitality Ministry
The purpose of the group is to provide a Basket of Care and Concern for those people. People who have just gotten out of the hospital, who are home-bound, who are grieving over the loss of a loved one or friend, who are fighting disease, who are just plain lonely or maybe for the care-giver who is busily running errands, trying to prepare meals and trying to keep things together through a crisis in the family.
