There are three readers: Narrator: The narrator tells the biblical story, sometimes quoting John, sometimes summarizing the unfolding events. Archaeologist: The archaeologist tells of the places, people, and events of the time and explains some of the specific details in the passion narrative. Physician: The physician gives a medical description of what Jesus experienced in his passion and death.
