Contributions Backpack Blessings This blessing was shared at Calvary Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, as a way of celebrating and blessing the beginning of a new school year. At the close of the service, apples were given to all the Sunday School staff in the narthex and a "chex-mix" snack was given to all the children. It was a wonderful way to mark the beginning of the school year. Dedication of Coin Boxes for Synod Assembly Offering Here's a dedication service for using the coin boxes for the June, 2004 NW Synod of Wisconsin Assembly Offering of Quarters. Each Sunday School class and other organizations of the congregation will have one at each of their gatherings. Dedication of a New Altar For the past few months our Worship & Music Mission Team has been brainstorming on altar designs along with one of our talented members who has been building the ideas into the real thing. Our new altar is in the table style, an altar style that emphasizes the holy meal, the Lord’s supper that is served from this holy table. We will be dedicating our new altar in a special prayer of dedication later in the service. Dedication Celebration (Church/Sanctuary) Dear brothers and sisters in Christ: We have come together today to dedicate this building to the glory of god and for the praise of His name. Let us then offer up this space, as well as ourselves, so that all people can be invited and welcome to come together as God's family to Worship the Lord, to Grow in Faith, to Care for Others, and to Share the good News of Jesus Christ. A Blessing Service For Quilts, Sewing, Health, and School Kits Leader: The materials we dedicate today are representative of the many items which you as members have put together over the last year. We commend the women of our church who so faithfully have met together to make these beautiful quilts. We thank you for their devoted service. We praise you for the children and others of our family of God, who through their efforts have gathered items to assemble these kits |
