You will find answers to many ways God is active here. This is a helpful guide, but not an exhaustive list of all of our ministries. Welcome Brochure Whether this is your first visit, or if your have worshiped at Bethany many times, we would like you to feel welcome here!
Please take this brochure home with you for future reference. Visitor's Welcome Letter A welcome letter that can be sent to someone who came and visited your Church and letting them know that they are always welcome. Congregational Welcoming Statements During the 1998 Assembly a resolution was passed encouraging congregations to adopt a "statement of unconditional welcome and transformation. "After publishing several examples we asked you to send in your statements. Following are some of those submissions. Water Bottle Hospitality Refreshing bottles of water greet visitors of the Church, also conveniently located next to a bike trail. The labels are printed on the church computer and wrapped around purchased bottles of water. The bottles have been well-received and serve as a useful reminder of church information and worship times. Differently colored labels are used during summer and Lent/Easter with appropriate activity times. Hospitality Review Pastor's Note: "Mailed out 3 evaluations two weeks ago, and have gotten 2 back... both positive although pointing out a couple things the congregation should know about. I think the value of this is visitors see the church and process differently than any of us attending regularly. They have "different" eyes... and that's helpful." "Welcome" Pad - " I'm Appreciated" Pad Our Outreach Comm recently worked with our Lutheran Brotherhood (LB) rep and came up with "welcome pads" to give to visitors/new members. The pen has LB name and number on them; the pad has our church name, address, phone & FAX #'s, pastor's name and email. Pads are 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Welcome Bread! Visitors to Our Savior's Lutheran Church are greeted with a cheerful welcome and a warm, freshly baked loaf of bread! Coffee Hour Hospitality Visitors to the Church are invited to join in the hospitality hour between church services. They are also encouraged to take a RED cup so they can be identified and greeted as guests! Welcome Cards Welcome cards are sent to visitors after Sunday services. Personalized messages can be printed in the card |
